Blogging for Autism Awareness

In the US, April is National Autism Awareness Month. This observance was established in 1972 by the Autism Society of America, and, just last November, the United Nations designated April 2, 2008 as the first World Autism Day.

Genevieve Hinson at Momologue has asked her fellow bloggers to help spread the word to inform and educate others about autism this April, and there has been quite a big response (this blogger included)!! Clicking on the button above will take you to her invitation post, which includes a blogroll of everyone who has signed up to participate, and I will also have the button and blogroll on my site throughout the month.

Since I started blogging, I have shared a few stories about my son (who has autism) and various autism-related thoughts, and I have been thinking about what I would most like to share with everyone.

One of the things I would most like to do is answer questions people have about autism. So, if you would, please tell what your questions are, and I will try to answer as many of them as I can (or point you to someone who can). You can leave a comment on my blog – anonymously if you prefer, or you can send me an email (wheresthebox[at]gmail[dot]com). Either way, I look forward to hearing from you!
