I added the new Blogger blogroll to my site tonight, and it is pretty cool! I found out about it on Google Operating Systems, which is an unofficial blog with news and tips about Google. I clicked on the link that said Blogger in Draft and from there was able to access the new blogroll as a page element.
You can add URL’s manually or import from your Google Reader (by simply checking the ones you want to add from your subscription list), and you can have them show up in alphabetical order or by how recently something has been posted on the blog. There are also choices to show the blog’s icon, the title of the most recent post, a snippet from it and how long ago it was posted.
It does make the list longer to scroll through, but I think it also makes it easier to decide if you want to click through to another blog. Let me know how you think it looks, and feel free to share your newest blogging find!

Thrills – Yeah, I did see a couple of the blogs had newer posts when I visited them; I am not sure how often that information is pulled or how it is done.
I like it. I like to see if they have posted something recently or if the topic interests me. Great Find!!!
The new blogroll is great… I’m impressed!
Wow, talk about nifty plug in! I’ve also seen the Wordpress plugin where it retrieves your commentators latest posts on their own blogs and lists them next to their name. Pretty darn neat if you ask me
Too bad Blogger doesn’t do that.
Glad everybody likes it! I think it is fun to have an hint of what is coming before you click on a link.
Is the WP one the Comment Luv thing? I have left comments on blogs with those, and for some reason it never seems to find my last post.
