How Many Countries Can You Name in 5 Minutes?

As I was hopping around the blogosphere for the Ultimate Blog Party, I found this lady and couldn’t resist taking this quiz. Now, no cheating, but let me know your score if you do it.

Sounds pretty good, until you realize there are 270 countries!! I think I need to brush up on my geography and world events.

I am actually not even going to attempt it. I know my geography is bad. I really liked your quote on you “Sunday Success” post. That is a great idea to start your week off.

I actually was able to complete the whole quiz without being interrupted by my boys! So I got 73 countries. I was starting to blank during the last 10 seconds, but I think I could have named about 15 more if I had had more time. Certainly not all 290!

My mom was born in Africa and has a missionary family. I almost went to South America on missions once. I have had friends and coworkers from various countries in Europe, Middle East, Far East, Balkans, etc. Without all those things going for me, I never would have remembered this stuff from Geography classes, nor from current events!

Ah, I only got 41. Terrible. I have absolutely no head for trivia/names. I’m going to have Dave do it. He’s much better at this stuff. Glad to see you blogging.

Wow, 73 is amazing! And 41 seems pretty decent to me – one person I forced to take the quiz only got 26.
