Autism/Special Needs, Awareness, Daily Life, My Little Guy 26 Comments Special Exposure Wednesday: Our Walk for Autism Awareness
These were taken at the Walk for Autism Awareness here in April. This is the third year our local Autism Society of America has hosted this event, which also includes a 5K run in honor of a boy who died after wandering away from his home in December 2004.

These walks for awareness are great!
I love that he is walking the “beam”. My Mac (Asperger’s) can’t resist walking beams, curbs, etc where ever we go.

Great photos! I keep looking at the second one. Everyone is walking and facing forward and he’s looking at something else. I find it intriguing!

That is so awesome. I wanted to do this locally but the kids got sick on the day of. The pictures are awesome.

Great pictures! Looks like a fun time and a good turnout. We haven’t been able to do any of the walks yet b/c the crowds would be too much for the boys, but hopefully someday
