38 Comments Special Exposure Wednesday: Having Fun in Therapy
UpNorth Mommy has been sharing some pictures from her daughter’s therapy sessions the last couple of weeks, and it inspired me to pull out one of Michael to post. This shot was taken last summer during auditory integration therapy. The ball pit and big therapy balls were some of his favorite things to use during his sessions, and yes, he is getting ready to throw them all over the room!
This picture reminds me partly of how much work it was to rearrange our work and preschool/daycare schedules to get to all of the sessions and to fight with the insurance company for months to get everything covered. But even more it makes me realize how thankful I am for every ounce of progress he has made.

He is just so cute! I love it! Those eyes! And cheeks! lol! I love therapy pictures because, to me, they represent hard work, hope and progress. They’re great!!

I’m so bad about taking pictures – I don’t have a single therapy picture of Jackson and he’s had therapy every week of his life since he was 10 months old. I’m regretting that now!
BTW, my kids would so love to play with all of those balls! It looks like you have a great therapy place!

Had to come back to visit and say that I LOVE Fetch too. PBSkids has some great shows. But personally, Super Readers and Fetch are my favorites. I admit to being totally jealous of some of the things those kids get to do. A space shuttle simulator? Wouldn’t that rock?!

What did you think of the AIT? Did he make a lot of progress with that? Did you really get insurance to cover it??? (Rock on if you did!!!)
