Who would you rather borrow from? Your library? Or a Friend?
(Or don’t your friends trust you to return their books?)
And, DO you return books you borrow?
I would definitely rather borrow from the library than a friend, although I do borrow from friends occasionally and definitely make a point to return the books!
If I borrow from a friend, I am much more conscious of keeping the book in excellent condition and not keeping it too long. With library books, I have to admit to turning down pages to keep my place and also to renewing them or just paying the fee if they are late.
Not saying this is admirable behavior, just being open and honest.

Like you i prefer the library.
I love books sooo much i dont like to lend them either!
I definitely won’t lend a book unless I don’t mind not getting it back!
