Spring Reading Thing 2011 Update

in Books

Katrina asked the other day how we were doing on the Spring Reading Thing challenge, and I was a bit nervous to look. But actually, I have made some decent progress on my list. Although I haven’t read any of the 5 nonfiction titles, I have finished 11 of the 20 fiction titles, as well as crossing off 2 fiction titles that I decided not to read.

Updated 4/30/11 – Oops! I just realized I didn’t end up finishing The Shape of Mercy, just couldn’t get into it during the time I had it out from the library. So I’ve actually read 10 fiction titles and crossed off 3.

Minding Frankie by Maeve Binchy
The Damascus Way (Acts of Faith Book 3) by Davis Bunn & Janette Oke – READ
Lydia’s Charm by Wanda E. Brunstetter – READ

I am curious…Out of the books you have read so far (on your list) which is your favorite? I am surprised that I haven’t read one of them! I think I read a lot and then I see what everyone else is reading and realize there are so many books I have yet to experience.

Enjoy the nonfiction!

From this list, I would say Delightfully Different is my favorite. Another book I read just before making this list is Mockingbird, which I also loved.

There are just too many books out there altogether!

You’ve read so much! Interested in the Temple Grandin, since I have a family member with Asperger’s.

Yeah, I am addicted to books! I’m just starting the Grandin/Barron book now. It is definitely geared more towards adults, but could be useful for parents who are trying to explain some of these things to their children as well.
